Atmospheric Electricity

Electricity in the atmosphere as we are recording it at sea level in The Netherlands follows 5 mV steps and after every 44 millivolts also a 4 mV step. See image 1. The horizontal gray lines mark 5 mV steps. The horizontal yellow line marks a 4 mV step from 1457 to 1461 mV. There is also a 4 mV step at 1413, 1369 and 1325 mV.

Planetary and Lunar Influence

Does Earth's atmosphere respond to specific planetary and lunar geometry? This is an idea that was first presented by John H. Nelson, a radio engineer who worked for the RCA in the 1940s, -50s and -60s. He concluded that certain arrangements of the planets from a heliocentric point of view caused shortwave radio signal interference and even blackouts. According to his book Cosmic Patterns the NASA adopted his research at the time.

Going by our measurements, Earth's atmosphere does indeed seem to respond to specific planetary and lunar positions. It supports our claim that the influence of the planets and the Moon is first and foremost electric and electromagnetic in nature, rather than gravitational as has been assumed for centuries.

In the first month of our measurements — August 2019 — obvious electric peaks in Earth's atmosphere were measured at the time of planetary alignments involving the Sun and Mercury. See image 2.

A convergence of planetary alignments on 7 October 2019 that also involved Earth caused atmospheric electricity to reach the highest level since early August. See image 3.

At this point we became confident that an obvious correlation exists between certain arrangements of the planets and perhaps the Moon on one side and electric peaks in Earth's atmosphere on the other side, suggesting that our hypothesis from 2014 that the strongest influence of the planets and the Moon is electric in nature is correct, and that a possible correlation between critical planetary geometry, (high altitude) atmospheric forcing and larger earthquakes should be further researched.

The highest levels of atmospheric electricity in the first six months of our atmospheric electricity research were measured at the time that Earth was aligned with the Sun and Jupiter on 27 December 2019. See image 4.

Although we cannot draw definite conclusions based on six months of measurments, overall results thus far suggest that on average electricity levels in Earth's atmosphere are lower during Summer on the northern hemisphere when Earth is farther away from the Sun, and higher during Winter on the northern hemisphere when Earth is closer to the Sun.

Earthquake Signals

What we have been able to find so far with regards to larger earthquakes is that atmospheric electricity gets more excited before earthquake occurrence, resulting in ~4 mV fluctuations in a narrow 5-10 mV band. When we started recording atmospheric electricity late on 1 August 2019, the graphic showed a narrow but excited signal within 1408 and 1413 mV prior to and during the M 6.8 Sumatra earthquake. See image 5.

From 11 to 13 November a similar excited, narrow signal was recorded, which preceded the M 7.1 earthquake on the 14th (image 6).

Hopefully this research will eventually provide more clues about planetary positions, atmospheric disturbance and larger earthquakes. To be continued...
