July 2006
It’s common these days to hear talk about the “end
times” and warnings about the fate of an overpopulated
and out-of-balance planet. The momentum of this focus
has snowballed since 2000, and with the fabled “2012” looming
in the not-too-distant future, concerned people of all
philosophical stripes will have plenty to ponder.
How do you make sense of the gloom and doom predictions
and avoid being taken over by fear? Who do you believe?
If what you hear is true, what can you do? If things
are really as hopeless as some make it sound, what’s
the purpose of sustaining personal effort to change one’s
personal and external world? If you’ve asked yourself
any of these questions recently, consider the following.
First, know that predictions and prophecies have been
a part of the human landscape for thousands of years.
Prophecy, a kind of advance Divine knowing of a future
event, has been offered by oracles and seers of many
cultures including the Mayans, North American Indians,
Hebrews, Tibetans, and Christians. Some of the prophecies
about the “end times” being repeated today
were first made a very long time ago. You will find a
number of them in sacred religious texts. Others have
been passed down through the generations in oral form.
Because of the
fluid nature of the future, a prophecy or prediction can only
provide a potential future outcome. If it’s true,
it can only be a relative truth, based on what is happening during
the moment in time it is received. The future that’s predicted,
therefore, can radically change by the time it arrives.
Another thing to keep in mind is that if the prediction
indeed is coming from a high level spiritual guidance source, it
will not be fear-based or create negativity of any kind. Instead,
the prediction will be something that focuses on positive change,
helping others, and creating love. Consider the source of any prediction.
This includes ancient prophecies. You will want to know whether the
person referencing the prophecy is giving an accurate and full recitation
of its original message. It can be difficult, or often impossible,
to confirm such accuracies. One reason is that prophecies contained
within ancient texts such as the Bible and Koran have been translated
and interpreted many times over the centuries. Each time one of them
is translated, there is the potential of new interpretations that
reflect the language and beliefs of that time.
Sometimes the purpose of a disaster-oriented prophecy
is to awaken people and birth a series of transformational changes
that will nullify the dire predictions. Keep in mind that nothing
is at it appears!
Second, realize that a prophecy is simply a prophecy.
Human suffering comes not from something that is said
or that happens, but from what people have made the
thing mean. In other words, an event in current time
or “predicted” time will impact
you based upon your view of it. What does “the end of the world” mean
to you?
Invite your intuitively guided reason to speak to
you about the following possible views. Does “the end of the world” mean
the end of all life, including your own? Does it mean the end of
the old paradigm world, falling away to make room for a more enlightened
way to co-exist? Does it mean having your freedoms and way of life
taken away? Does it mean redefining freedom and opening to a more
heart-centered and intuitive way to live? Does it mean that Lightworkers “lost
the battle” and the negative forces of greed and hate “won?” Does
it mean that those people ready for the shift into higher
consciousness can discover a new type of Earth to call
home?
Third, whether a prediction is made related to humanity
or to you personally, to discover your own truth requires
discernment and intuitively guided reason. Being able
to discern truth is a skill that can be developed.
Everyone has a natural ability to connect with their
inner Divine knowing, yet it must be remembered and
worked with over time in order to build confidence
and trust. Ongoing practice, accessing this innate
gift in diverse situations, is the key. For many people,
intuitive knowing is like a muscle that hasn’t
seen the gym in a while. The body doesn’t ask it to move much,
so it doesn’t. If you have a sincere desire to open to more
intuitive knowing, and you are willing to be patient
while learning and practicing intuitive-building skills,
you can indeed manifest this ability. In fact, your Divine nature
and ability to know truth is actually encoded in your human DNA.
Fourth, if you receive information or predictions
about another person’s future, consider the following guidelines
that involve spiritual discernment and honoring others. Know that
information, even from a high level spiritual guide, is not always
given to be shared or to be communicated in present time. If you
are unsure about whether or when to share something, check in with
your heart’s wisdom or with your own spiritual guidance. Ask
if you are to share what you have been given, and if so, when and
how. Sometimes you will receive information about someone else, even
a person you don’t know, because it’s spirit’s
way of teaching you about life and the human condition. You aren’t
always required to do something with the information. On the other
hand, remember that there are no accidents, and if you are being
shown something, there is something you can learn from the experience.
Set your intent to learn from everything that happens, even if it
seems unrelated to you and your personal journey. If you receive
only a part of a puzzle of information, and no further answers come
in response to your inquiry, know that in the world of spirit, information
is given on a “need to know” basis. If it’s not
time to know something, or if your knowing would in some way negatively
impact your spiritual path, the answer may appear “blocked.”
Fifth, if you are the recipient of a prediction from
another person about your life, the same guidelines are
helpful to keep in mind. In most cases, intuitives
accessing high level spiritual guidance and having
sufficient awareness will not share information that
could harm you. The seasoned intuitive learns through
training and experience how to share intuitive knowing
without harm. An example of harm could be the prediction
of the exact month and year of your death. There may
be rare instances where having this information is
needed, but most people do not benefit. This is because
of the power of the conditioned human mind to negatively
interpret such news. Having information like this
can, for many people, even hasten their demise. This
can occur even when the prediction has no real basis.
Also, without a full context, including options the
person has in responding to or changing the situation,
simply having the prediction can do much more harm
than good. Therefore, if you receive this sort of
intuitive prediction from someone else, be sure to
question it. You will want to question the source,
question why it was said, question why you are being
given this information at this particular time, and
question what the information means in a fuller context
than you’ve been given. Remember that you are creating your
future right now, as you read these words, and that a prediction
is only one probability of many. You shape your actual future by
your thoughts, feelings and actions of this present moment. You create
continually, moment to moment. The future is not an energy you mark
on some unchangeable “future stone,” but an energy you
are creating in the here and now.
Sixth, do not forget the Divine being that you truly
are. The real you is changeless and eternal. That part
of you needs no outside validation. It does not need
to be told it is worthy or that it is on the “right path.” It knows its wholeness
and its Divine perfection. It just is and it will always be. It is
simply at “home” in the cosmos.
As you continue the journey of rediscovering your Divine
nature, we surround you with our love and blessings. We are The Council
of 12.

Note from Selacia—Nearly every week there is a story in the
news about the latest in genetic research. In my work as an intuitive,
I like to keep current on health issues involving our DNA. I am passionate
about helping to bridge the worlds of science and spirit. In my experience
as a healer, the more that we can understand about how we function
(body-mind-spirit), the more effective we can be in healing and transforming
ourselves. I’ve been very encouraged by the ability to intuitively
pinpoint defective genes, and by being able to energetically
repattern them through the modality of DNA intuitive
healing. If this sounds futuristic to you, remember that we are creating
the future right now!
Here’s some of the latest research about our human genes. Scientists
are discovering that our genes can be changed by what we eat, by
the air we breathe, by stress, by belief systems, and by many other
environmental factors. Within our DNA, we have thousands of genes,
often referred to as the basic units of heredity. While our basic
genetic composition (genome) is established at conception, the structure
of our genes can change during our lives. Researchers today believe
that many of our human disorders are caused by mutations to DNA,
and a few happen when genes are turned on or off. In one study, scientists
found that a genetic tendency to be overly anxious could be changed
by switching off a gene which regulates fear. Genes are believed
to be involved in disorders including: Alzheimer’s, arthritis,
breast cancer, depression, diabetes, dyslexia, heart
disease, obesity, and prostate cancer. Scientists are
now finding links between genes and human personality. For example,
a person can have a genetic tendency to be shy or lonely. In one
recent U.S.-U.K. study, it was found that our genes are crucial in
determining whether we are entrepreneurial and likely to become self-employed.
If you were born into a family with a history of a
disease like prostate cancer, consider the possibility
that defective genes can be changed. If you would
like to learn how to work with genes through the modality
of DNA intuitive healing, please feel free to contact
