June 2006
It's common to feel weary, angry, and even hopeless when
weeks of uncertainty and chaos turn into months with
no end in sight. The challenge in this cycle is to remain
in balance in the midst of the enormous cleansings happening
on a personal and planetary scale. It's very helpful
to remember that the transformational cleansing is impacting
EVERY form of life on the Earth, from the plants and
animals to children and adults of all evolutionary stages.
No thing is exempt, not even the Earth herself. Remember
that everyone is in the same boat when you feel despair,
alone or simply unable to take your next step. To acknowledge
this helps you to have a larger perspective and assists
you in generating compassion for yourself and others.
To be sure, it can be scary to wake up to the destructive
effects of hate, ignorance and greed. It can be disheartening
to realize that the majority of humanity is still asleep
and unaware of the paradigm shift. It can be disappointing
to experience continual lengthy delays in manifesting
your personal dreams.
It can be frightening to investigate your own negativity. It
can be overwhelming to realize how much effort is needed to reach
enlightenment.
How do you move past the ingrained human tendency to
respond to life with such fear and distrust? Consider the following
seven ideas. First, realize that from spirit's perspective each
moment of life is precious. Every stage of growth is seen as
Divine perfection. One aspect of humanity's current growth cycle
is the vast amount of cleansing underway. Another characteristic
is peoples' tendency to respond with fear, resistance, impatience
and ignorance. These are phases and they will pass. Begin to
trust this.
Second, remember the powerful Divine being that you are.
You are much stronger and much more resilient than you could
ever imagine! Strength is not about your outer worldly successes,
but it relates to your inner spirit that has unlimited abilities
to heal and create. Third, keep in mind that fear is like a communicable
disease. When you are not mindful, it's easy to be influenced
by your own and others' fear. When you are around other people
who live in fear, or you learn about a disaster or other negative
event, your own fears can be stimulated. Lacking awareness in
the moment, you may forget how easily fear spreads within you,
poisoning your mind and altering your perspective. The fear can
erupt even when you're home alone minding your own business.
All it takes is a focus on doom and gloom, pondering all the
things that have gone wrong or could go wrong. Fear then has
been given permission to do its dance of mischief. The fear-based
thoughts fuel more fearful thoughts. If you allow yourself to
focus on these thoughts, and to create from them with your words
and actions, your energetic vibration is lowered. When you're
in that space, it becomes difficult to be creative or energetic.
Even more important, your downward energy spiral obscures your
natural connections to spirit and your Divine guidance. The more
disconnected from spirit you become, the more difficult it is
to find your way out of the maze. Nonsensical or irrelevant trains
of thought may follow. You may begin obsessing about the past,
feeling angry about what you had to endure or about what you
missed having. You may fixate on some person or thing you feel
is now missing from your life, worrying whether you will ever
be able to have it. Obsessing about the past and fixating on
your current problems deplete you of energy and block the flow
of good things coming into your life. It may be obvious how your
personal downward energy spiral can negatively impact your ability
to create joy in life. Perhaps not so obvious is the impact on
a global scale. The one IS the whole, and the one impacts the
whole. Since everyone and everything is connected, your state
of consciousness does matter. Every time you move into more self
love there is a ripple effect around the planet. The positive
energy of your loving yourself helps to create momentum for even
more love being generated. The force of love has the power to
change limitation into unlimited possibilities.
Fourth, be willing to look at manifestation in new ways.
If you've had a dream of being or doing or having something for
quite some time, and the goal seems as far away today as ever,
set your intention to focus on your dream with fresh eyes. Remember
that some things you want may not be manifesting because Divine
timing is not yet in place. Other things may have been delayed
because the other people involved are in fear and having their
own manifestation crisis! Don't forget that when you want something
to happen, there is often an intricate chain of events that must
happen first. What can you do right now?
Building Your Own Manifestation Bridge
Consider building your own manifestation bridge on
the etheric plane, helping you to connect with what
you desire to manifest. Here's how to build your bridge.
Give yourself at least 20 minutes to sit and reflect
on your dream. Find a place where you will not be
disturbed and sit in a comfortable place. Let go of
concern about the "how" of it, or whether you
are doing it correctly. Center yourself with some deep breathing
and a letting go of tension in your body. Invite your Higher
Self to join you for a creative process. Write down key words
or draw an image that represents what you desire to create. Place
this on a sheet of paper in front of you. Close your eyes. Visualize
what you have put on the paper. Imagine it in detail, as though
it's present in your life right now. Sit with the imaginary creation
for a few minutes, energizing it with your thoughts and feelings.
Next, ask your Higher Self to help you build an etheric bridge
to the future you're creating. Sit quietly for a moment and imagine
this bridge being built, extending from where you sit to where
your future possibilities are. When you have an intuitive sense
of the bridge, imagine crossing it. When you cross to the other
side, allow spirit to give you glimpses of your future that will
inspire you and help you to create what you want. While on the "future" side
of your bridge, invite your Higher Self to add anything
to the picture you've left out. When you ask for this,
you will be receiving spirit's input about what would be in your
highest good. Allow yourself to be pleasantly surprised as spirit
adds ideas you might not have included. Rest there for a bit
and allow the images or other knowing to become real. Before
leaving this place, visualize taking a snapshot of what is there,
and as you do so, imagine that this visual comes back over the
bridge with you, helping to energize your creating. Cross the
bridge back into your present, and know that you can return to
the other side any time you wish. Open your eyes and write down
any insights that came to you in the process.
Fifth, set your intention to become more aware of your
intake of information. When you read or see something in the
news, make the effort needed to apply discernment. Being on automatic
pilot in front of the television may seem like harmless entertainment
and relaxation after a stressful day. However, the information
you receive can negatively color how you see and experience the
world. When you receive input from the media or other people,
it's helpful to go inside your heart and ask whether it's fear-based
or whether it comes with some other negative agenda.
Sixth, remember the human tendency to get bored when
the status quo continues for extended periods and progress appears
to be minimal or stopped. Your dreams may seem stuck, as though
in a locked box. Boredom and complacency often go hand in hand.
Either mode of being can extinguish your passion or divert your
attention into nonproductive directions. If you begin to feel
bored or complacent, ask spirit for reminders of the bigger picture
beyond your current life. When you are immersed in living this
life, of course, it seems to be the only life you have. It's
normal to forget that you are an eternal being, and that this
life experience is but one of many on your journey. At the same
time, it's typical to forget the temporary nature of your physical
form. In your day-to-day world, as you consider how you spend
your time and energy, get into the habit of asking yourself questions
such as:
Is this really that important?
Is this something that will benefit my highest good and
enlightenment? Who am I doing this for? Is there a way to do
this that involves more ease and grace?
What am I overlooking in this situation?
How can I love myself and others more?
The answers to these questions will help you find your
center and sparks of inspiration. If you would like a visual
reminder of your eternal being and your temporary body, consider
having a plant in your home that flowers year after year. Place
this plant near where you spend time in contemplation, and then
notice the cycles of its blooms. Each beautiful flower that buds
will bloom for a time and then die. If you are patient when all
the blooms have gone, you may be delighted to discover new buds
forming a number of months later. Such is the cycle of nature,
mirroring humanity's own cycles.
Seventh, monitor your own thoughts and emotions with
the caring and persistence of a gardener who keeps a flower bed
blooming and free of weeds. Notice the thoughts and emotions
that are negative, and refuse to act on them or to replay them
in your mind like a broken record. Let go of judging yourself
for thinking and feeling like you do. Instead, set your intention
to know and tame your own mind, and to change limiting belief
systems in your DNA that are causing you suffering. Intentionally
choose positive thoughts as much as possible throughout the day.
If you find you can't do this for long periods, at least consider
starting and ending your day with some positive thoughts. One
tool you may find useful is to write down some empowering thoughts
on an index card or post-it and place it near where you sleep,
repeating the words both morning and evening. Remember that if
you want to evolve beyond the mundane level, you must shift your
focus to a higher plane of thought and emotions.
As you continue the journey of rediscovering your Divine
nature, we surround you with our love and blessings. We are The
Council of 12.
