We wear many hats
in our life and one that we would probably prefer not to wear is
when we are asked to serve on “Jury Duty”.
When Oprah announced to her viewers that she would be on Jury
Duty she changed the idea of wearing this hat for many. It is
an honor and a privilege to serve!
This week and
next it is my turn to serve on a jury. Having
a full schedule and an already busy life, when I received my summons
to appear I realized this was my opportunity to demonstrate “remaining
flexible and able to turn on a dime”.
Another message
I hear playing in my mind is to remember to put the feeling of love
into everything you do, even when you’re
taking out the kitty litter! Not particularly enjoying being crammed
into a room with 100 people, with sweltering heat and no air conditioning
while we endure the process of jury selection, surrender to “Thy
Will” and know that this is another opportunity to express
our “God Self”. For when we are selected to sit on a jury
we will essentially be asked to ”play God” in rendering
a verdict at the end of the trial.
This is something
that we are required to do in the United States and when called
to do so, we are reminded to “trust the
process”. And this is what I shall do. I will listen carefully
to all that is presented, follow the rules of admonition and do my
best to discern, follow the law as I understand it and work with the
other jurors to come together “in our oneness” to render
a fair and just verdict.
Knowing that our
decision upon the end of this trial will effect the lives of others
I take this responsibility seriously and will consider all the evidence
presented before coming to any conclusions. In this moment, I am
reminded that this is not just the way of a courtroom and our
justice system but this is a responsibility that we have in every
moment in our lives. A decision cannot be rendered unless the jurors
are all in agreement. A simple clue to the way of life!
What we think,
do and say has an effect on others because we are all connected.
Our thoughts are an invisible substance that are
real and transcends our physical bodies. Every thought we hold
in mind is projected out into the ether’s for anyone and
everyone to pick up on. When we know this we realize the responsibility
that we have in “what we think” do and say.
What we think may not be as
powerful as what we say and do but it has power and substance that
reaches out and affects others. When we speak, clearly it affects
others, and what we do is even more powerful than what we think
or speak. It is an energy in motion that has a ripple effect on
all of mankind, including our planet, the universe and even intimate
objects.
So today I wish
to remind you that you are an integral part of the whole and to consciously direct your power in what you think
do and say in a way that will lift all of mankind to this higher dimension
that we are rising to. And yes, we may take our physical bodies
with us!
Beyond “doing our civic duty” we
have an even bigger responsibility to hold the love and light and
to be the beacon so we may ascend into this brighter light! Celebrate
the energy of 999 and completion!
