To embrace is to cherish or love. Light refers
to truth, enlightenment, and inner illumination. Now that we
have defined to ”Embrace the Light” let us contemplate
how one can do this?
Last night I received
a call from my two year old grandson. He was very excited in telling
me how much he loved the dinner I had prepared for he and his family
and he was informing me that he would like some more please! I was
so touched by his expression of gratitude that I quickly dished up some more and took
it next door. He met me at the door with a big smile on his
little face and was literally jumping up and down in joy, because
I had brought him more!
When my daughter opened
the door, he gave me a big hug, took his little dish and ran to
the table, sat down and began to inhale his second serving of chicken,
vegetables and rice. Why is it so easy for children to embrace the
light?
Children are pure
in their expression of love, joy and disappointment. When they are
happy they illuminate the world around them and
when they are not, they let you know it by crying big crocodile
tears. When the tears dry up there is no evidence of past. They
truly live in the present, open and eager to experience and
explore their world.
When you are around children, observe and take note in how
they perceive and interact with their world. Becoming one with a
child and seeing life through their eyes can be the easiest way to
understand and comprehend the true essence of “Godliness”. “Childlike
is Godlike!”
May you come into your “Godliness” by merging
with the essence of a little one today, and remember how to ”embrace
the light”.
