On driving from Lockeridge its easy to spot but difficult to see any form or shape, my initial thought was storm damage after all the recent bad weather.

I persevered through the rain and up the hill to enter. I could not find a way in to the formation without damaging a little crop, there were no paths to the tramlines on Sunday afternoon.

My initial thoughts would differ from those today. Initially I thought eughhh but since returning I have found this to be a captivating visit.

Its a large, well lay'd circle, I could not find any broken stalks or real signs of damage and swirled nicely. At each end of the circle there seems to be decreasing circles, one pointing to the formation across the valley and the other side towards what I like to think is Silbury way.

It looked a bit of a scruffy cousin to the formations we seem to get all the time that makes me think this is not like the others. Its a magical place and this seemed like a very calming spot.

I eventually returned cold and wet but unlike other formations I have found myself thinking about this one a lot. Roll on more pictures.
