Date
1.
Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical
centerlines:

2.
Construct the inscribed pentagon (regular 5-sided
polygon) of circle 1, pointing down:

3.
Construct five inscribed equilateral triangles of circle
1, each with one angular point coincident with a different angular
point of pentagon 2, as shown:

4.
Construct a circle centered at the upper intersection of
circle 1 and the vertical centerline, passing through the two
adjacent angular points of triangles 3, as shown:

5.
Copy circle 4 fourteen times, all centered on circle 1,
passing through all other corresponding angular points of triangles
3, as shown:

6.
Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle
4 at the upper side:

7.
Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle
4 at the lower side:

8.
Copy circle 4 to its upper intersection with the vertical
centerline:

9.
Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle
8 at the upper side:

10.
Copy circle 4 to the upper intersection of circle 8 and
the vertical centerline:

11.
Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle
10 at the upper side:

12.
Copy circle 4 to the upper intersection of circle 10 and
the vertical centerline:

13.
Draw the pentagram of pentagon 2 (all diagonals):

14.
Construct the circumscribed circle of the pentagon enclosed
by pentagram 13, as shown:

15.
Construct the inscribed equilateral triangle of circle 14,
pointing up:

16.
Construct the inscribed circle of triangle 15:

17.
Copy circle 16 to the upper intersection of circle 7 and
the vertical centerline:

18.
Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 17
at the lower side:

19.
Copy circle 4 two times, to the tangent points of circle 6 and
both circles 5 adjacent to circle 4, as shown. Move (copy and
delete original) the lefthand circle to its own righthand intersection,
and the righthand circle to its own lefthand intersection, both
with circle 6:

20.
Copy circle 4 two times, to the tangent points of circle 9 and
both circles 19, as shown. Move the lefthand circle to its own
righthand intersection, and the righthand circle to its own lefthand
intersection, both with circle 9:

21.
Copy circles 19 and 20 four times as a whole, taking circle 4
as a reference, to every third circle 5 in a corresponding radial
orientation, as shown:

22.
Only circles 1, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 19, 20 and 21
are needed for the final reconstruction:

23.
Remove everything not visible in the formation itself:

24.
Colour all areas corresponding to standing...:

25.
...or to flattened crop. This finishes the reconstruction of the
2007 Morgan Hill formation:
